Makers’ LAB

Makers’ LABs ran once a month on Sundays 10am-1pm with lunch and discussion 1-2pm

The Makers’ LABs were led by artists who are, or have been, researching and making new work at Space Clarence Mews. They each lead investigations, which relate to their distinctive practices. The LABs have been both reflective and risk-taking, and for those who are interested in the process of making new work.

The last Maker’s LAB took take place on January 28th 2018.

‘Sandwich Structure’

Three stages ensured participants made the most of the LABs

  • 8am-10am :

Optional time for personal practice. The  Studio was available from 8am for your own preparation. Our kitchenette and garden was also available for less physical prep.

  • 9.30am:

Latest arrivals

  • 10am-1pm:

Artist/company led session

  • 1pm-2pm:

Over lunch there was be a chance to reflect and discuss the LAB with the lead artist/company and all participants; this was be facilitated by Caroline Salem.
